Virtual Printmaking Workshop with Grayson Cox (VIDEO)

About the Workshop
In this Covid Era I have been thinking a lot about the ecological impact of art materials. So, I have started to collect materials that I can make stencils with or experiment printing on, through and with. The question for whom? also interests me. Who is our audience? Who will receive this work we are doing? What does it mean to use materials sent by companies we don’t agree with? Can the materials we use to make art hold conceptual value in the end product? How can improvisation and printmaking work together?

During the workshop, I plan to show how to print from home with readily available found materials with loaded content. I will show Trace Monotypes and Pochior Printmaking, and talk about printing on top of drawings and materials of meaning.
