On View:  March 9 – March 9, 2024

Family Day

Participate in hands-on arts and exploration activities to engage with the works on view at SMA.

In the Marion Ady Building:

Hands-on Art Activities

Join us for art projects, inspired by Masami Teraoka’s triptychs and Zeina Barakeh’s process of stop-motion animation.

In the painting studio, we will have a large community triptych project, where participants can paint an image in response to the prompt: What are you grateful for?

Small triptych cutouts will be available as a take-home activity.

We will also explore stop-motion animation where people can construct a character to move through a scene and create a short animation.

In the Museum:

Scavenger Hunt

Stop by the main gallery to pick up a Scavenger Hunt. There are nine pieces to discover throughout the museum Рare you ready to find them all?

Take a Tour

There will also be family-friendly tours and mindfulness tools to accompany the intense exhibit.

Free event parking is available in designated lots.
