About MK Guth

b. 1963, Stevens Point, Wisconsin; lives in Portland

MK Guth received her BA from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and her MFA from New York University. Most recently a fifteen-year survey of her work was held at the Hallie Ford Museum of Art, Willamette University, Salem, Oregon, and she has had solo exhibitions at spaces including Art Gym at Marylhurst University, Oregon; Portland Art Museum; Boise Art Museum, Idaho; and Linfield Gallery, Linfield College, McMinnville, Oregon. She has participated in group exhibitions at Schneider Museum of Art, Ashland, Oregon; Art Museum of Sonoma County, Santa Rosa, California; Contemporary Arts Center, Cincinnati; Museum of Contemporary Craft, Portland; Henry Art Gallery, University of Washington, Seattle; Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art, University of Oregon, Eugene; Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, San Francisco; Frye Art Museum, Seattle; and the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, among others. Guth is an associate professor at the Pacific Northwest College of Art, Portland.
