Join us on Thursday, May 2 at 2 pm for a Creative Industries Discussion with 2024 SOU Visiting Artist and Scholar in Teaching (VAST) resident Jeane Cohen. Immerse yourself in an enlightening lecture followed by an engaging Q&A session.

About the Artist

Jeane Cohen lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. She received a bachelor’s degree from Hampshire College and her MFA from The School of The Art Institute of Chicago. Recent solo exhibitions include the Center for Maine Contemporary Art (Rockland, Maine); the Institute for Contemporary Art at the Maine College of Art and Design (Portland, Maine); Slag Gallery (New York City); and Make Room (Los Angeles). Cohen is currently an Artist and Scholar in Residence at The Schneider Museum of Art and Oregon Center for the Arts at Southern Oregon University. Cohen has been awarded a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant, a Sharpe-Walentas Studio Program Residency, and an Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant. Cohen has held teaching positions at The School of The Art Institute of Chicago, Maine College of Art and Design, and Asnuntuck Community College’s Pell Prison Program.
