ABOUT THE ARTIST
Bix Archer is an artist from San Francisco, CA. By taking up subjects that cannot be looked at directly or in full—a landscape in the dead of night, the memory of a bedroom, the experience of falling in love—she approaches painting as a process of rendering experience that exceeds vision. She is a two-time recipient of the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Artist Grant, and has participated in residencies at the Vermont Studio Center and the Royal Drawing School (Ayrshire, Scotland). She has exhibited work nationally and internationally. She received an MFA in Painting and Printmaking from the Yale School of Art in 2025.
