Exhibition Statement

Selections from PORTLAND2014: A Biennial of Contemporary Art was a major exhibition that surveyed the work of visual artists who defined and advanced the contemporary arts landscape. SMA Director Erika Leppmann worked with Amanda Hunt, The Studio Museum of Harlem, who curated the third Oregon biennial, conceived of and produced by Disjecta Contemporary Art Center in Portland. Included in the exhibition was an installation by Personal Libraries Library and a book project by Publication Studio and the other artists.
