Exhibition Statement

This exhibition surveyed the graphic work of Christo. The internationally acclaimed artist is primarily known for his environmental sculptures such as the Running Fence, Surrounded Islands, and Wrapped Pont Neuf. Featured in this exhibition was work which provided insights into the conceptual basis of Christo’s art.

Artist Bio

Christo was born Christo Javacheff on June 13th, 1935 in Gabrovo, Bulgaria. He studied at the Fine Arts Academy in Sofia.
